EMBLEM LAUNCH OF THE FIFA WORLD CUP 2014

Johannesburg – South Africa – July 8th, 2010

The launch of the FIFA World Cup 2014 official emblem was the first official event of the 2014 World Cup. Special guests speakers were the Brazilian ex-president – Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, FIFA´s president – Joseph Blatter and the ex-president of the Brazilian 2014´s committee – Ricardo Teixeira.

The event was directed by Gringo Cardia and written by Rafael Dragaud with the participation of the following artists: Hosts – Fernanda Lima e Rodrigo Hilbert, Music – Barbatuques, Bossa Cuca Nova and Vanessa da Mata. The Brazilian broadcasting company TV Globo officially broadcasted the event live for over 120 countries.

The ceremony served not only to present the logo of the 2014 World Cup Brasil but also to make the transition from 2010 World Cup to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
